Intex intros Matrabhasha app on AQUA Marvel and AQUA 3.2 smartphones

Intex intros Matrabhasha app on AQUA Marvel and AQUA 3.2 smartphones

Intex Technologies today introduced Matrabhasha, a free multi-lingual app on its two existing smartphones, Intex AQUA Marvel and AQUA 3.2. With this app, the company is looking to increase its smartphone user base and include those living in the smallest of the towns and cities of the country.

The application features an onscreen virtual keyboard, using which a consumer can compose a regional language text. The Matrabhasha app presents combinations of different letters and conjuncts of the respective languages. It simplifies typing in a way that its keys dynamically change according to your preferred writing sequence.

To change the language on Intex’s smartphones, users will have to first go to Settings, then select the Language and Keyboard option. Once there, users can select the language of their choice from the list of keyboards, with a single touch. Suppose a user selects Hindi, he will have go to Keyboard and Input Method, select Default, then Hindi Input Method and then hit OK.

Users can store and search their phonebook contacts in their preferred language. They can even update their status messages and comments on Facebook, Twitter and blogs in their regional language. They can surf the Internet using the language of their choice. 

Both INTEX AQUA Marvel and AQUA 3.2 offer the following languages: Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Bengali, Assamese, Punjabi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, Maithili, Marathi, Bodo, Santhali, Manipuri, Sindhi, Dogri, Konkani, Nepali, Kannada, Malayalam, Oriya and Telugu.

Sanjay Kumar, GM- Mobile Business, Intex Technologies said, “Any product or application innovation at Intex is always around consumers’ evolving needs especially when we are operating in a dynamic market like India. Matrabhasha is a state-of-the art solution which has been bundled with two of our advanced smartphones- AQUA Marvel and 3.2. It will bridge the great Indian digital divide, enabling hundreds of Indian languages speakers to use smartphones in their own mother tongue.”

The company launched its dual-SIM AQUA 3.2 smartphone in the country last year for Rs 3,790. The Intex Aqua 3.2 sports a  3.2-inch display and is a fully loaded touch smartphone with 5-point capacitive screen. Powered by a high speed 1GHz processor and Android 2.3.5 operating system, this smartphone offers smart dual-SIM access. At the same time, the device offers fast data processing, advanced multi-tasking and fast downloading of multimedia files.

The AQUA Marvel smartphone sports a 3.5-inch, full touch display and is powered by a 1GHz processor. The smartphone runs on Android 2.3.6 and is fuelLed by a 1400 mAh battery. There is a 2MP shooter on the Intex AQUA Marvel. The smartphone is priced at Rs 3,990 (MOP).  

Both the smartphones are available pan-India and can be brought through 15,000 plus distributors and reseller outlets and more than 50 INTEX SQUARES and several hypermarkets across the country.
