Intex Technologies has nationally announced the launch of its new phone, the Intex Aura. As per an official statement by the company, the phone has been designed for consumers across all age categories, especially the youth, who look for a strong battery back-up phone for continued connectivity.

The dual-SIM phone sports a 1.3-megapixel camera, and is packed an 1,800mAh battery that gives the user up to five hours of talk time and up to 360 hours of standby time. The phone is priced at Rs 1,690.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar, GM, Mobile Business, Intex Technologies, said, ”There is still a large section of the population who buy and use feature phones. Intex being a consumer focused company understands these sentiments and consumption pattern even in smallest of the cities and towns. This ultimately helps us to innovate in this product category. INTEX AURA is a thoughtful combination of interesting features with long lasting battery life. The phone has been designed keeping in mind, power shortage in remote areas where consumers face challenge of charging their phones at regular intervals.”

Intex has launched the Aqua feature phone

Intex has launched the Aqua feature phone

The features of the phone include an FM radio with live recording, Bluetooth with A2DP to stay connected and share data, and a USB port for connecting with other devices such as a PC. It is coupled with in-built entertainment options that include preloaded games, a video player that supports 25FPS, avi, 3gp, and mp4 formats, and an audio player that supports mp3 and wav formats.
 
The phone supports a micro SD card expandable up to 16GB. A phone book with a capacity to hold a maximum of 500 contacts, auto call record, mobile tracker, torch, and GPRS/ WAP are some of the other features being offered in it.

The phone supports both Hindi and English languages, and is available in three colours - red, white and black.

Earlier this month, Intex had launched the Aqua 5.0 smartphone. In its official statement, Intex shares that the handset is equipped with a dual-core processor. The smart phone sports a high resolution display with multi-touch screen. It also provides a seamless web experience, with up to two times faster browsing.

Going further, the company states that it sports a 5-inch touchscreen, bundled with Android 4.0 OS. Aqua 5.0 packs in a 1GHz dual-core processor, 4GB of internal memory, and 4GB microSD card slot (expandable up to 32GB). Aqua 5.0 has a 5MP auto focus rear camera with a 1.3MP front camera supporting video calling. Other key features include dual-SIM capability, high resolution display, Wi-Fi, and 2000mAh battery with a talk time of five hours, and about eight days of standby time. The handset is equipped with three sensors - Gravity, Light and Proximity, and supports Auto Call Recorder.

Powered with Google Play store it offers a plethora of in-built applications such as Music player, Video Player, FM Radio, Sound Recorder, Gallery, Email, Gmail, Browser, Flipkart, Facebook, India Rail, Google Maps, Nimbuzz, Skype, and YouTube.
