Intex Aqua Style Pro running Android KitKat launched for Rs 6,990

Intex has further expanded its Aqua line-up of budget Android KitKat-based smartphones with the all new Style Pro. Priced at Rs 6,990, Intex’s Aqua Style Pro bundles a free flip cover with the device, which is just the latest in the long line of Indian low-cost KitKat phones.   The Aqua Style Pro runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and comes powered by a 1.2GHz Broadcom quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone supports dual-SIM functionality. It sports a 4.5-inch FWVGA IPS display with 480x854 pixels of resolution.  The 8GB onboard storage can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.   This budget handset comes equipped with an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The slew of connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, GPRS/ EDGE, GPS/A-GPS, and Bluetooth. All of this is fuelled by an 1800mAh battery.   Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Senior General Manager, Mobile Business, Intex Technologies (India) Ltd. said, “The Aqua range is very popular amongst our target audience. We hope the customers like our products.”   We’ve earlier seen the Intex Aqua i14 and Aqua N51 KitKat-based handsets priced below Rs 7,000.  The Aqua i14 sports a 5-inch display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB inbuilt storage, 8MP rear camera, and microSD card. The N15 has a smaller 4-inch IPS display with an FWVGA resolution, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. These days we’ve been seeing range of sub-7,000 devices entering the Indian market to compete with the Moto E.
