Intex Aqua Star 4G with iData Saver feature launched at Rs 6,499 in India

Intex has introduced its new smartphone under its Aqua series called the Intex Aqua Star 4G priced at Rs 6,499. It will be available in black, gray and white colour variants. The main USP of the device is its new iData Saver feature. With this feature, which is powered by Opera Max, an app developed by Opera, one can save data consumption by up to 50 percent on images, web-pages, streaming via apps such as YouTube, Instagram, Gaana and more. Intex is also said to be the first Indian brand to incorporate Opera Max’s functionality into its smartphone. In terms of specifications, the device features a 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It is powered by a  1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor paired with 1GB RAM. It includes an internal storage of 8GB which can be further expanded up to 32GB. The Intex Aqua Star 4G comes equipped with an 8MP rear camera along with LED flash and a 2MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, GPRS/EDGE, 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB and Bluetooth. A 2000mAh battery completes the package. Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, mobile business head, Intex Technologies said, “With the massive demand and high usage of smartphones, data consumption has become the most critical aspect for the consumer.
