The device is made of plastic and glass with the front face taken up by the glass screen with thick bezels all around. The rest of the rounded body around the glass seems to be made entirely of plastic.

The Intex features a 4.5-inch display with a 854 x 480 pixel resolution. Inside, sits a budget Spreadtrum SC9822 chipset that is clocked at 1.3 GHz. Coupled with the chipset is 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB internal storage. While the internal storage seems a bit too little, it can be expanded up to 64 GB using a microSD card.

As for the cameras, the Intex Aqua A4+ packs in a 5 MP primary camera accompanied by an LED flash. The front-facing camera features a 2 MP sensor.

The handset offers the usual connectivity options that you get on an entry-level Android smartphone. This would include 4G LTE radios, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and A GPS support, an FM Radio and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Also available is a micro USB port for charging and data transfers.

The Intex Aqua A4+ is powered by Android Nougat 7.0 and is fueled by a 2,000 mAh battery.
