The updated Instagram iOS app (v4.0.2) also includes Cinema mode support for devices with front-facing cameras. For those not in the know, the Cinema mode feature for videos is exclusively for iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 devices. It uses advanced stabilisation effects to give you nearly-perfect looking (albeit slightly cropped) video despite the shaking. The updated app also features fixes to some previously known bugs.

The addition of videos to Instagram has been among the major updates to the app in recent times. Videos are not just another way to share stories on Instagram, but are a simple way to do so and still make them look great. On Instagram you now have the option to enter the video mode. Click on the movie camera icon, and once inside, you can take an entire video or several sections for a total of 15 seconds.

Head over to the iTunes store to download the updated app. The Instagram app for iOS devices is compatible with Phone, iPod touch, and iPad. The app requires devices running iOS 5.0 or later and is optimised for iPhone 5.
