Instagram has rolled out its latest version that now adds a new editing tool. In its official blog post , Instagram states, “We’re delighted to bring you a set of new creative tools on Instagram with the ability to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth and more.” The tools can be accessed by tapping a new wrench icon on Instagram’s editing screen, which is displayed in a horizontal grid list. Users can now also adjust how much of a filter you apply to a photo by double tapping the filter icon. “Tapping one of the tools lets you adjust its strength on a 100-point scale, so even if you have no idea what vignetting means, you can develop your own understanding by playing with the tool for a couple minutes and noticing how the edges of your photo get darker as you increase the strength of the tool,” adds The Verge . Peter Deng, the director of the product told the news site that to implement vignetting, the Instagram team has researched “what film cameras and vignetting actually looks like, and how [vignetting is] an artifact of how lenses take the light in.” The Instagram version 6.0 is now available for download for Android and iOS users via Apple app store and Google Play store , respectively.
