The photo-sharing platform in a blog post mentioned that it has also added an exclusive filter for live videos. The new sunglasses filter is exclusive to live video  for a week. Users can also change the reflection of the scenery appearing in the lense of the filter sunglass by tapping on the screen.

To activate the filters on a live video users have to tap a face icon placed on the bottom right corner of the screen beside the "Start Live Video" tab. After recording the live video with the filters, users can follow the same process followed earlier to post a live video. Shared video will appear in the 'Stories' section to other users.

The feature is expected to be rolled out in few weeks globally. The update is expected to be available for iOS, Android and Windows users.

Instagram recently brought an update that mutes auto-playing videos on the app. The update mutes the playing videos while one is scrolling through the feeds. After the update, all the videos in the feed will be muted and users will have to tap on the video or the volume icon appearing on the bottom right corner of the video to turn on the volume. Once the audio is enabled, it will turn on the audio for upcoming videos in the feed. But, as the user exits the app, the feature will be restored to default and the next time the user opens the app, the videos will appear muted.
