Recently, Warner Bros had released a new trailer for Injustice. The trailer acts as a launch trailer for the game, which is set to hit shelves on April 19. It shows bits of the game’s story, along with a look at some of the characters that will be making it into the game. Along with fan-favourites like Batman, Joker and Superman, other heroes will also be in the game, including Green Arrow, Aquaman and Solomon Grundy.

The game is being developed by NetherRealms, who also developed the last Mortal Kombat game. Gameplay-wise, Injustice looks very similar to Mortal Kombat, with the exception of the blood and gore. The game is also set to have a focus on the single player campaign, much like Mortal Kombat. NetherRealm describes the story mode as ‘Story Mode 3.0’.

The game’s campaign is said to be similar to Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe in design, and will use cinematic sequences for story narration instead of simply giving you a list of enemies to fight. The plot of the game is set to explain the game’s fighting mechanics, as well as explain how a normal human like Batman can go toe to toe with Superman, according to Lead Designer John Edwards.

The game’s plot kicks off with Joker destroying Metropolis and tricking Superman into killing Lois Lane and their unborn child. This makes Superman angry and he kills Joker in front of Batman. Things escalate and Superman eventually forms a new world order. The resistance is led by Batman, and thus starts the battle between Superman’s regime and Batman’s insurgency.

The game is set to have a large roster of characters. The main goal during the character selection process was to create a roster that had a wide range of characters with different sizes, abilities and level of superpowers. Some of the playable characters include Aquaman, Batman, Bane, Catwoman, Doomsday, The Flash, Green Lantern, Lex Luthor and Wonder Woman. In total, there are 24 playable characters in the game.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
