Multi-lingual operating system brand Indus OS on Wednesday announced that it will make AVG AntiVirus and AVG Cleaner from the online security company AVG Technologies available to its users. The security features will be available on App Bazaar to safeguard users from online threats. App Bazaar is the world’s first regional language app marketplace from the Indus OS. “Our primary aim at Indus OS is to democratise the internet by merging language with technology, making it easier, more personal and convenient,” Rakesh Deshmukh, CEO of Indus OS, said in a statement. “App Bazaar is one such way that we are putting the power back into the hands of the end users and I am happy to have AVG aboard to protect our three million-plus App Bazaar users from online threats, malware and viruses,” Deshmukh added. “Distributing AVG AntiVirus through App Bazaar will help us safeguard the next 300 million people in South Asia who will be connecting to the internet via smartphones for the first time,” added Peter Turner, general manager, consumer for AVG. App Bazaar offers apps and digital content in 12 different languages and currently has more than 25,000 apps.
