India’s Cyber Gaming Championship kicks off next week

There are two kinds of gamers in this world. One’s the chilled out mellow kind who plays games to relax while the other is the competitive kind who thrives on competition. If you’re the second variant, you need to be at the Indian Cyber Gaming Championship ( ICGC ) that’s going to kick off in Goa next week. There’s a healthy mix of both team as well as solo titles across the PC, consoles as well as mobiles. Here’s the entire list:

Counter-Strike 1.6, Counter-strike: Source, Call of Duty 4 & WarCraft III Defence of The Ancients

Single Player Games
Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, StarCraft II, Need for Speed Most wanted,

Console Games
Fifa 11

Mobile Games
Real Racing 2, Fifa 11, Trenches, Modern combat 2 & Tegra II Games

Winners from all these games will represent India at The Games Expo (TGX) in Singapore as well as the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) in Paris. The ICGC will take place between the 25th – 28th of August 2011 and you can stay tuned to Tech2 for more updates on this event.

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office.
