IFA 2011: Samsung unveils the Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Galaxy Note

Samsung have announced the launch of two new devices as part of the Samsung Galaxy series – the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Samsung Galaxy Note at IFA 2011.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 features a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display and runs on a 1.4GHz dual core processor. It measures 7.89 millimetres and weighs 335g. Along with HSPA 21 Mbps it also has support for ‘Wi-Fi Channel Bonding’ i.e. bonding two channels into one for improved network connection and data transfer at up to twice the speed. The device runs on a 5,100 mAh battery that provides up to 10 hours of video playback time. It operates on the Android 3.2 Honeycomb OS with a new compatibility zoom mode. This optimizes applications that are not designed to run on larger screen sizes, so they fit on the entire screen without distortion.
