In a bid to bolster its Tivoli management tools, virtualization software tools and packages, IBM is acquiring software company Rembo Technology. Rembo makes software to help IT administrators automate software installation and upgrades on PCs and servers through a central hub, i.e., centralized corporate system administration. IBM will incorporate Rembo’s operations into its Tivoli software division and will integrate Rembo’s technology into its Tivoli Provisioning Manager and IBM Director software. IBM also plans to offer the Rembo products as part of its Virtualization Engine software, hardware and services, to help businesses manage the every growing IT environments.
