Hyperloop Transportation Technologies in talks to run trials in India

You heard that right! Hyperloop is in talks to kick start its trial runs in India. All of this is provided that the prime minister and the transportation minister give the green signal and by the looks of things it seems to heading on the right path as intended. Before you go about sharing this article, we must tell you that this is Hyperloop Transportation Technologies (HTT) and their transportation system that we are talking about. Not Hyperloop One, another company and system developed based on the vision of Elon Musk. The man who is in talks with the Indian authorities is Bibop G. Gresta, co-founder at Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Inc. According to a report by Factor Daily, the proposal now remains at transport minister, Nitin Gadhkari’s table. The Hyperloop team says that they are ready and waiting for the green signal. Gresta told Factor Daily, “The world is watching you guys (India). This can be the greatest opportunity or the biggest disaster. Only history will tell,”. Gresta claims that both the PM and the transport minister are willing to make a change in India and that Gresta’s team is currently doing a study about how they will go about plotting their Hyperloop system in the country. The cost is currently pegged at $40 million per kilometer, it is capable of transporting passengers at airline speeds. The system will take 4 years to set up from the date of approval.
