Even as the tech world is hooked on to news from the ongoing Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas, India’s very own Cyberabad is all set to host its own IT exhibition. The government of Andhra Pradesh, in association with the Dubai World Trade Centre will organize the annual IT event, GITEX-India 2007, from January 9 to 11, 2007.
The Gulf Information Technology Exposition (GITEX) India 2007 event will feature an exhibition, ‘Computer Shopper’, along with conference tracks, and will felicitate the best performing ICT companies. Moreover, the state government has exempted payment of VAT by the purchasers at ‘Computer Shopper’, which includes companies such as IBM, HP, Compaq, Samsung, Sony, BenQ, LG, and Lenovo, among others. The range of products includes computer hardware peripherals, laptops, i-Pods, mobile phones, memory sticks, flash cards. The vendors were also requested by GITEX representatives, to offer product promotion schemes, for consumers.
