Hungama.com, the online service that offers Bollywood, Telugu, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Malayalam and other South Asian language music entertainment, has launched a next-gen music application for smartphones.
The music steaming app has introduced a loyalty feature that rewards you for every action inside the app. The company says that it is the first such service to offer a reward feature of this kind. You will be able to earn and redeem points every time you watch videos on the app, play or share music, invite friends or even when you create playlists. You can redeem these points to get downloadable content, movie tickets, autographed merchandise, gizmos and gadgets, and dinner date with movie stars.

Another feature that Hungama claims is the first of its kind is Mood Discovery. This feature allows you to find and play music to match your mood. It allows you to find new music based on your preferences in the category of mood, tempo, language, genre or era. Once you come across a choice that you enjoyed, you can save the discovery list and go back to it any time you want.
Hungama.com’s music streaming app allows you to not only stream unlimited music but also watch and enjoy music videos. It also allows you to buy and download entertainment content on your connected devices. In addition to all of this, you have the option of getting an add-on feature that lets you bring interesting artist and song related trivia as well as lyrics with a touch.
The app has a music pool of over 20,000 artistes. It allows you to tune in to any of your favourite celeb’s music playlist using the Artist Radio feature. One of the app’s USP is its social connect. The “My Stream” option in the app allows you to invite, share and connect with your friends online through social networking platforms. This feature allows you to conduct conversations about music. My Stream also allows you to share your music and personal playlists, and continue to pocket more “coins” upon sharing with friends.
The app also has a Fun Gym mode using which you can simply swipe through track, without needing to concentrate too much on the app while working out. It also has a Sleep mode where you can set a time the app switches itself off.
Hungama says that this app is set apart from competitors as it elevates your music listening experience by allowing you to watch videos and socialise while streaming Bollywood, Regional and International music.
The app is free to download for the iOS and Android platforms and is available as a lite-version for BlackBerry 10 .
