Soon after Huawei unveiled the P9 and P9 Plus in London, the company reportedly showcased the third Huawei P9 variant, the P9 Lite as well. A Russian website got hold of a few images of the yet to be official smartphone.
According to a report by hi-tech.mail.ru, the device will sport a 5.2-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution along with a pixel density of 423ppi. It sports a 13MP camera with LED flash along with a 5MP front facing camera. In addition, it is said to come in 2GB and 3GB RAM models and will also feature a fingerprint scanner at the back. The device will most likely to sport an internal storage of 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The Huawei P9 Lite will be powered by a 3000mAh battery.
Huawei also announced its much rumoured flagship phones – the P9 and the P9 Plus. Both these phones were announced at an event in London and the phones sport a dual camera setup by German camera maker Leica.
The Huawei P9 comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, which gives it a 423ppi pixel density. It is an IPS LCD panel. It will come in two variants – the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. Apart from this you get the option to expand the storage by adding in a microSD card as well. It will come with 3,000 mAh battery and a USB Type-C connector.
The Huawei P9 Plus has a larger 5.5-inch Full HD display which gives a 401ppi pixel density. The P9 Plus only comes in the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant. But the differentiating factor on the P9 Plus is that it comes with 3D Touch which it calls ‘Press Touch’. There is a 3,400mAh battery under the hood.
As for the price points, the Huawei P9 costs 599 Euros (approx Rs 45,500) and 649 Euros (approx Rs 49,500) and the P9 Plus costs 749 Euros (approx Rs 57,000). There is no news about when the products will launch in India.
