Huawei P9 gets the European Consumer smartphone 2016-17 award

The European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) has named Huawei P9 the “European Consumer smartphone 2016-17” under its Mobile Device awards. This is the fourth consecutive year that Huawei’s devices were recognised by EISA in this category. “The exquisite design of the P9, praised by the EISA judges, is the result of exhaustive development and attention to detail from the world’s top industrial designers,” technology website AndroidHeadlines.com quoted Glory Zhang, Chief Marketing Officer, Huawei Consumer BG, as saying. The Huawei P9 and P9 Plus global shipments exceeded 4.5 million as of last month. According to Huawei, the two devices have been selling best in France, Finland and the UK. P9 sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display, 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of expandable internal storage. The device is powered by Kirin 955 64-bit octa-core processor, 3,000mAh battery and comes with two 12MP cameras on the back and a 8MP front camera. Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system comes pre-installed on the Huawei P9, and Huawei’s Emotion UI 4.1 is placed on top of it.
