Various rumours indicate that Huawei is gearing up to announce the Huawei Honor 8 on July 5. The device is expected to go on sale on July 12. GizmoChina reports that the device will boast of a 5.2 inch Full HD display and that it will be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 950 or 955 SoC. The device will be available in 4 variants, all of which will have 4GB of RAM and the same screen size. The cheapest variant will only have 32GB of RAM, no NFC and support for a limited variety of networks. This will retail for 1,999 Yuan (around Rs 21,000). Another variant of this will be available for 2,199 Yuan (around Rs 23,000), offering NFC and support for most cellular networks. A third variant of the device will offer 64GB of storage for 2,499 Yuan (around Rs 26,000) and the final version will offer a 2K display and 128GB of storage for 2,799 Yuan (around Rs 29,000). All phones are expected to ship with a 3,200mAh battery and, more importantly, a 12MP dual-camera setup on the rear. The front camera will be an 8MP module. The devices will also have support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, etc. There is no information on when these devices are coming to India, if ever.
