Noted leaker Evan Blass took to his Twitter account to post renders of what seems to be the upcoming HTC U12+. [caption id=“attachment_4392745” align=“alignleft” width=“380”]Image: HTC HTC U11+. Image: HTC[/caption] HTC U12+ will be the company’s flagship for 2018 taking the place of U11+ that was announced in December last year. The company has not announced anything official about the rumoured device at the time of writing. However, inspecting the considerably low-resolution render of the device, it seems that U12+ will sport a horizontal dual camera setup on the back of the device, as well as on the front of the device. There is a LED flash unit and fingerprint scanner in vertical alignment along with the HTC logo on the back of the device. Moving to the front of the device, we can see that dual camera setup and a speaker grill. The render could not confirm the presence of a notch or the display ratio of the device and the design itself seems to come with some tweaks when compared to its predecessor.

According to a report by Venture Beat, the device with the codename Imagine will pack a 6-inch LCD panel on the front with WQHD+ resolution, hinting at an 18:9 or 19:9 display resolution. It will be powered by **Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC** with 6 GB RAM and storage options of 64 GB or 128 GB. The company is likely to pack the option to expand the storage with a microSD card. The device will come with 8 MP camera sensors on the front and a 16 MP and a 12 MP camera sensor on the back. It will be powered by 3,420 mAh battery while running Android Oreo-based OS out of the box. The company will also include the second generation of HTC Edge Sense hardware in the device. The report pointed out that the development of the device has hit ‘a minor snag’ pushing the launch of the device to early May, instead of late April.
