On the camera front, the HTC One S9 comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with a BSI sensor, OIS, f/2.0 aperture and LED flash, following a 4-UltraPixel front facing camera for selfies. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.1, NFC, Miracast, GPS, A-GPS, and a microUSB. A 2840mAh battery completes the package. The device is rated to deliver up to 13 hours of talk time and 658 hours of standby time on 3G networks respectively.
Recently, Google engineer Benson Leung has stated that high-end smartphones such as the HTC 10 and LG G5 are at risk as these devices are Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0 certified, which invariably makes them USB-C non-compliant.
It is believed that the USB Type-C was tested with non-proprietary charging at 5V and was found safe to use. However, increasing the volts might end up harming the device. One drawback of using Quick Charge on USB Type-C is that users are not able to use a data connection at the same time.
