HTC One enthusiasts have something to cheer about now. The Taiwan-based company has confirmed that its production capacity for the smartphone is seeing an upward trend in light of its easing component supply issues, reports Focus Taiwan.

The word came from Jack Tong, President of HTC North Asia, who said that the company’s production capacity for the One will double this month from the previous month and will only rise further in June, in line with the strong demand.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

Tong was quoted by the report as saying, “Our capacity is expected to rise significantly starting from mid-May. We are optimistic about our high-end sales during April and June.”

What’s more, Tong also said that another popular HTC smartphone, Butterfly, saw its sales rise by 50 percent in Japan this month since its on-contract price was removed. HTC plans to release updates for the Butterfly smartphone by the end of this month, bringing to it many of the built-in software features that are on the HTC One – Sense 5.0, UI and the BlinkFeed live-streaming homescreen.

Despite being officially launched a month ago, there still doesn’t seem to be any sign of the HTC One being available through official channels in India. However, online shopping website Saholic is selling the handset for Rs 42,900 with a delivery time of 9 days. There also seems to be a 12-month manufacturer warranty for the device, so it seems to be official. However, other online shopping portals don’t seem to be selling the device just yet, with some of them saying “Coming Soon” and others straightaway not listing it.
