In this day and age of smartphone scrutiny, it’s getting increasingly difficult for mobile phone manufacturers to keep their latest projects under wraps. The recently launched Nokia Lumia 1020 with its 40 Megapixel camera had absolutely no element of surprise, while the specs of the various iterations of the Samsung S4 including the S4 zoom were also known well before they were actually ‘officially’ unveiled.

And HTC is no exception to this norm. It’s latest project, the HTC One Mini, has been leaked online on the Androidnext.de site, along with a full list of specifications. According to the report on the site, the device has a “1.4 GHz Snapdragon 400 processor and 1GB of RAM. Also a 720p display, next to a 4 MP Ultrapixel sensor and a 1.6 MP front camera”.
Other features includea 720p display, 16 GB internal storage, (12 GB of which can be used) and a 4MP rear camera.
The report added that the phone would come with the latest version of Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) as well as with the HTC Sense 5 platform that runs on top of Android. This is significant, given that HTC had recently announced that theHTC One S would no longerreceiveAndroid or HTC Sense updates.
Therefore it could well be that this phone could be the latest flagship device for the company.
According to NDTV, “previous leaks have indicated that other specifications of the phone include a 1,700mAh battery, LTE connectivity, Beats Audio and a pixel density of 342 PPI”.
Incidentally Google has started selling a ‘pure Android’ version of the HTC One which means that it is a device that does not have HTC sense at all. The device which has been called ‘clean’ and ‘uncluttered’ has received rave reviews .
