First came the leaks and rumours. After much speculation, HTC finally announced the launch of its first phablet the HTC One Max, which has a 5.9 inch screen.

It is a larger version of its top rated HTC One. Here are some features of the new phone that is expected to be rolled out across the globe between now and the end of the month:
- It has a 5.9 inch screen with a 1080 pixel display
- It has two variants: a 16 GB and 32 GB version. It allows memory expansion upto 64 GB with a microSD card.
- It weighs 217 grams and is 10.3 mm thick
- It’s powered by a 1.7 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor
- It operates on the Android OS and also has HTC Sense UI
- It has 2 GB RAM
- It will have a 4 MP UltraPixel camera, just like the HTC One and will have a 2.1 MP front camera.
- With fingerprint scanners in vogue in smartphones, the One Max will also have a fingerprint scan feature. The scanner will be on the back of the phone and will allow users to lock or unlock the screen.
- According to an Ibnlive report, the fingerprint scanner will also users to launch upto three applications using the fingerprint scanner. You will be able to assign three different fingers to be assigned as passwords for three different applications. Why this is so awesome escaped us immediately and we’ll wait for a demo before we get excited.
- The phone like pretty much every smartphone these days requires a micro Sim card.
-The phone has a 3300 mAh battery which should give it some good battery life. But with the One Max, HTC is offering a HTC Power Flip Case, a 1150mAh battery expansion.
- It will be available in Glacial Silver colour.
