HTC One M9 likely to launch in India on 14 April

HTC’s flagship device, the One M9 may be coming to India on April 14, The company has reportedly sent out media invites for a launch event which will take place in Delhi scheduled on the same day.

HTC One M9 likely to launch in India on 14 April

HTC’s flagship device, the One M9 may be coming to India on April 14. The company has reportedly sent out media invites for a launch event which will take place in Delhi scheduled on the same day. The press invite comes with the tagline ‘HTC: unveiling brilliance’ along with a #htcPursuitOfBrilliance hashtag. ![htconem9invite](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/htconem9invite.jpg)

First unveiled at Mobile World Congress this year, the device features the same design as its predecessor but sports a thinner design and will now be available in dual tone Silver and Rose Gold, single-tone Gunmetal Grey, single tone Gold, and dual tone Gold and Pink variants. In terms of specifications, the device features a 5-inch Super LCD3 full HD display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution. The device is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor paired with 3GB RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes with 32GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. The new device sports a 20MP autofocus rear camera with includes BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, dual-LED flash, sapphire glass lens and 4K video recording. The One M9 is equipped with a 4-ultrapixel front facing camera with super-wide angle lens. The device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop with the company’s Sense UI 7 on top. HTC’s BoomSound audio will now be powered by Dolby Audio Surround. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone supports Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, GLONASS, GPS, micro-USB, 3G, and 4G LTE. The new HTC One M9 is backed by a 2840mAh battery, measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.61mm and weighs 157 grams.
