We saw the MeeGo ported to the HTC HD2 earlier, but it was clear as day that what HD2 users were waiting for was Windows Phone 7. Well, the waiting is now over. The phone which came with HTC’s Sense UI on top of Windows Phone 6.5 has now finally gotten a Windows Phone 7 port. A logical next step was finally made, perhaps?
The HTC HD2 has evolved! It has received Windows Phone 7.
The port was released by Dark Forces Team. All the basic phone functions like calls, texts, emails and the camera etc are all reported to be working fine, but additional Windows Live stuff like the Marketplace don’t seem to be. Well, it’s not like we in India have access to the Marketplace in the first place, so we’re not missing out on anything for now.
