HTC Desire 728G goes official in India; sports 5.5-inch display, 2TB external storage slot

HTC has introduced a new smartphone dubbed HTC Desire 728G in India at a price of Rs 17,990. The device will be offered in Purple Myst and White Luxury colour variants and will be available with mobile operators and major retailers in India. In terms of specifications, the dual-SIM smartphone features a 5.5-inch TFT display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor paired with 1.5GB RAM. In terms of memory, the smartphone includes an internal storage at 16GB and can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD card. The device comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. Both cameras offer the ability to capture 1080p videos. It includes a Motion G Sensor, Compass Sensor, Proximity and Ambient Light sensor. In terms of connectivity, the device features 3G, 4G, Wi-Fi, micro-USB, and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with HTC Sense on top and is backed by a 2800mAh battery. The company claims that the device will offer talk time up to 26 hours on 2G and up to 21 hours on 3G.
