HTC Desire 10 Pro launched: Helio P10 SoC, 4GB RAM and 20MP camera at Rs 26,490

HTC has launched a new smartphone for the Indian market, the Desire 10 Pro. The smartphone was earlier announced alongside the Desire 10 Lifestyle back in September. While the Desire 10 Lifestyle is already selling in India, the new Desire 10 Pro which is priced at Rs 26,490, will go on sale from 15 December. Also announced was the HTC 10 evo that will be launched by the end of December. HTC Desire 10 Pro (2) The HTC Desire 10 Pro follows a design language similar to what we have on the Desire 10 Lifestyle. So you get the sleek finish with golden accents. It features a 5.5-inch Full-HD (1920x1080 pixels) IPS LCD display which translates to a pixel density of 400ppi along with Gorillla Glass. On the inside you get a 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor that powers the device paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage. The storage is expandable via microSD slot reading card upto 2TB in capacity. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back and you get  HTC’s BoomSound audio technology as well. HTC Desire 10 Pro (4) Rest of the features include 20MP rear camera with a BSI sensor, laser auto-focus and an f/2.2 aperture. On the front there is a 13MP selfie camera front-facing camera with an f/2.2 aperture. A 3,000mAh battery provides the juice, while connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi,  GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, and 4G LTE. It will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow Sense UI on top. The new HTC 10 Evo comes with the same unibody metal design as the flagship and adds IP57 dust and water resistance. This makes it the first HTC smartphone with a dust and water resistance body with a metal finish. HTC 10 Evo back black The HTC 10 Evo packs in a 5.5-inch Quad HD Super LCD 3 display sporting a pixel density of 534ppi. Protecting it is a sheet of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 with curved edges. Inside, you get a Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.0GHz (goodbye Daydream) paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage with a microSD card expansion (up to 2TB). There’s a 16MP camera with PDAF, OIS and a dual LED flash on the back while an 8MP camera takes care of selfie sitting on the front. The fingerprint reader sits on the front. The HTC 10 Evo supports 4G/LTE bands with support for Cat 6 LTE. You also get NFC, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 & 5 GHz), DLNA, Miracast and more. At the bottom is a USB 2.0 Type C port and the device is powered by a 3200mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 2.0.
