HTC was rumoured to working on its Desire range of devices, and now the company has officially unveiled the Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro smartphones. Both devices come with a similar design, but it’s the internals that sets them apart. The Pro variant is the more powerful one.
The Desire 10 Lifestyle sports a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720p resolution. It will offer options like 2GB/3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB onboard storage. Under the hood, it gets a Snapdragon 400 32-bit quad-core SoC running at 1.6GHz, and Adreno 306 GPU. On the camera front, it includes a 13MP BSI rear snapper and a 5MP camera for selfies. The device will run Android Marshmallow and include a 2700mAh battery pack.
The Desire 10 Pro gets a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display and comes powered by the MediaTek Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor running at 2.0GHz and Mali-T860 GPU. The Pro handset gets 3GB and 4GB RAM options, while storage options are 32GB and 64GB. Both devices will come with microSD card slot support. A 20-megapixel BSI sensor (f/2.2 aperture) is fitted on the rear while a 13MP snapper on the front. Finally, a slightly better 3000mAh battery completes the package.
The Desire 10 Pro also gets a fingerprint scanner. HTC is known for its build and design, and these devices come with some metal ascents around the smartphone, but are built using plastic. The Desire Lifestyle will hit store shelves later this month, while the Pro variant will be made available next month. Both will be made available in Stone Black, Polar White, Royal Blue, and Valentine Lux options, but there is no word on the pricing yet.
