HTC is said to be working on a new mid-range smartphone which could launch in January next year. The company announced the One X9 in 2016 and the new X10 could be replacing it very soon.

Taiwan based smartphone maker HTC is said to be working on a new mid-range smartphone which could launch in January next year. The company announced the One X9 in 2016 and the new X10 could be replacing it very soon. Apart from that, we are also going to see a new flagship replacing the HTC 10 , which could be called the HTC 11.

According to a  report  the HTC X10 will feature similar features as its predecessor including a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920x1080) display, a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor paired with 3GB of RAM and a Mali-T860 GPU clocked at 700MHz. It will feature a 13MP rear camera with OIS. There is also a possibility that HTC could launch it around New Year’s Day similar to the One X9.

Just like the One X9, the upcoming HTC X10 could cost around CNY 2,000 (Rs 20,000 approx) and will be launched in China first following other regions.

Recently we also  reported that HTC’s next flagship smartphone is also in works and the first set of rumours suggest a beast are on its way. Rumours claim that the upcoming smartphone could feature a 5.5-inch display with a 2560×1440 resolution. It could also be 5-inch design considering HTC has stuck to a more compact form factor for the longest time. On the inside we could see the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with an Adreno 540 GPU.

HTC could go for a dual-cameras setup on back which will have two 12MP sensors while an 8MP front-facing camera will take charge of taking selfies. A certain leak also suggests that the smartphone will offer 8GB of RAM along with 256GB of storage. Rest of the features point to a 3,700 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.0, Android 7.0 Nougat with Sense UI. It is also speculated that it will be price at £550 in the UK which is roughly about Rs 47,000.
