Honor View 20 with 48 MP camera to be launched in India on 29 January

After being announced in China last month, the **Honor View 20** is launching in India next week. Honor India has started sending out invites to the media, which reveals that the company will be hosting an invite for the smartphone’s launch in Gurgaon, on 29 January, 12.00 pm onwards. The highlight of the smartphone, similar to the **Redmi Note 7** , is its whopping 48 MP camera. The smartphone was launched in China Red, Blue, and Black colour options. Here  is what the Honor View 20 looks like from every side and corner. [caption id=“attachment_5915841” align=“alignnone” width=“1024”] ![The Honor View 20. Honor View 20 specifications and features

The Honor View 20 features an FHD+ 6.4-inch LCD with an unusually tall ratio of 19.25:9. There is a small hole at the top right part of the display wherein the front facing camera is placed. Apart from that the phone pretty much appears to be bezel-less save for a tiny chin at the bottom. The back of the device comes with a gradient shift, which switches colours when viewed on different angles. Powering the View 20 is the Kirin 980 chipset, which was announced by Huawei back in October, and it also poweres the flagship Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The View 20 was launched in China in three variants — 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, and 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. While the smartphone certainly checks the boxes when it comes to looks (almost bezel-less design) and innovation (punch-hole selfie camera), it’s results from the primary 48 MP camera, battery life, Honor’s Magic UI and pricing that will decide its fate against the OnePlus 6T. So do stay tuned for our full review. In terms of camera, the View 20 sports a 48 MP Sony IMX586 1/2-inch CMOS sensor (0.8 µm/pixel) with Quad-Bayer array that allows pixel binning. It is joined by a 3D ToF sensor at the back as well. On the front, we see the in-display camera which has 25 MP sensor with fixed focus. The entire setup is backed up by a 4,000 mAh and it comes with the 22.5W SuperCharge support.
