Honor 10 Lite with 24 MP front camera launched in India, pricing starts at Rs 13,999

Honor 10 Lite will go up on its first sale starting 20 January on Flipkart and HiHonor.com.

The house of Honor has debuted its first smartphone in India for 2019, and it is the Honor 10 Lite. The smartphone succeeds last year's Honor 9 Lite. The Honor 10 Lite was first announced at an event in China, that was held back on 28 November 2018. Almost two months later, the smartphone has been launched in India, at a starting price of Rs 13,999.

Honor 10 Lite: Price and launch offers

Honor 10 Lite has been announced in two RAM and storage variants in India. There is a 4 GB RAM variant with 64 GB of storage, a 6 GB RAM variant with 64 GB storage. While the 4 GB model is priced at Rs 13,999, the 6 GB one will cost you Rs 17,999.

The Honor 10 Lite will be exclusively available on Flipkart and Honor India's own website, and will go up on its first sale starting 20 January at 12.00 am.

The phone is expected to arrive in three colours in India — Midnight Black, Sky Blue and Sapphire Blue.

Honor has also partnered with Reliance Jio for a launch offer wherein new and existing Jio subscribers can get a cashback of up to Rs 2,200.

Honor 10 Lite: Specifications and features

The Honor 10 Lite features a 6.21-inch IPS LCD Full HD+ display with a 2280 x 1080 pixel resolution. The smartphone's display has a 19:9 aspect ratio and about 90 percent screen-to-body ratio. Under the hood, the device is powered by a Kirin 710 chipset that claims to offer a significant improvement in power efficiency and performance as compared to the previous generation chipset.

In terms of optics, the smartphone sports a dual-camera setup at the back, which is a combination of a 13 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary sensor stacked vertically. Up front is a 24 MP camera with AI support.

Connectivity options on the device include Dual SIM, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Bluetooth v5.0 LE and micro USB 2.0. The phone runs Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box with the company’s own custom interface EMUI 9 on top. Fuelling the device is a 3,400 mAh battery.
