A new service launched by Google, now enables homepage owners to use Google Gadgets on their own webpages. Google Gadgets, which are already available for use on Google Homepage and Google Desktop, are mini applets such as calendar and timer, which are easy to create.
Google gadgets are open to users who own the HTML code, without any downloads or the use of a webserver. They also work on multiple Google properties such as, Google Desktop, Google Page Creator and Blogger. Google claims the applications facilitate easy integration with Google Maps and Google Web Search.
Adam Sah, Google Gadgets Architect said, “Now anyone can have a great-looking website with automatically updating content. By making Google Gadgets available for you to add to your webpage, we’re working to connect developers with enthusiastic consumers and to make information universally accessible and useful to the individual user.”
