After the Nokia 8, HMD Global is now geared up to announce another Nokia device on 31 October. HMD Global has sent out invites to what appears to be a global launch event, one that is expected to announce a Nokia smartphone for India and global markets. While the devices for now remain a mystery, there is a better chance of HMD announcing the much-rumoured Nokia 2 smartphone and may be, even the Nokia 7.
The company recently launched Nokia 7 in China. The Nokia 7 features a Snapdragon 630 and comes with a 16 MP rear camera with a dual-tone LED flash on back of the smartphone. The 4 GB RAM variant of the device is priced at CYN 2,499 (approx Rs 25,000) and 6 GB RAM variant is priced at CYN 2,699 (approx. Rs 27,000) in China.
The device packs in Android Nougat 7.1.1 and a 5.2-inch full HD IPS LCD display. Other features of the smartphone include an IP 54 certification, Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 protection and 64 GB of internal storage.
While details about the Nokia 7’s launch cannot be confirmed, all eyes are on the entry-level device, the Nokia 2 .
Recent leaks suggest that the smartphone will come with a 4.7-inch display a 4,000 mAh battery, and Snapdragon 210 inside with a maximum clock speed of 1.1 Ghz.
There is another candidate as well, but it there’s a small chance that the rumoured Nokia 9 may make it to India, considering that the Nokia 8 was recently launched. Concept videos of Nokia 9 have been spotted on the internet . The video shows a bezel-less design, curved edge display without any headphone jack.
