HMD Global is continuing with its work of releasing
Android
updates in an extremely timely manner. [caption id=“attachment_4228205” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] Image: Instagram/@android[/caption] Just days after Google rolled out the February Android security patch images for the supported devices in its Pixel and Nexus line-up,
HMD Global
has rolled out the latest security patch for its
Nokia 3
and 8 devices. This is surprising in a really good way because other companies take weeks, if not months, to update the Android security patch in their OS to the latest version available. According to the changelogs
reported by GSMArena
, the updates for both the Nokia 8 and Nokia 3 contain the security fixes. The size of the update for
Nokia 8
is 87 MB and 80 MB for Nokia 3. This comes days after
HMD Global started beta testing
an Android 8.1 Oreo-based OS for the Nokia 8. [caption id=“attachment_3859473” align=“alignnone” width=“825”]

Last but not the least, the report also points out that the update is only rolling out for India and Jordan and that the update for the Nokia 3 is limited to users in India at the time of writing.
