HMD Global today announced a new 4 GB configuration of the Nokia 6 smartphone it had launched back in August 2017 in India. The variant has been priced at Rs 16,999 and will be sold exclusively on Flipkart from 20 February.
The new configuration will be available in the Matte Black colour variant and rocks almost identical internals as last year's phone, apart from the RAM. HMD Global is also offering an extra Rs 2,000 off on exchange of an older device. Interested users can head on to the Flipkart page of the Nokia 6 from today to be notified when the sale goes live.
In terms of internals, the Nokia 6 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass atop it. The phone sports an aluminium unibody design. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC which includes an X6 LTE modem. In terms of storage, we get 32 GB of internal storage. This storage can be further expanded using a microSD card.
As for the cameras, there is a 16 MP primary camera on the phone with an f/2.0 aperture and an 8 MP front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera of the phone comes with phase-detect AF and a 3,000 mAh battery. This one will also be available in the same colours as the Nokia 3 and Nokia 5, including Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper.
The announcement of a 4 GB configuration would come as a small disappointment for Nokia fans who were expecting HMD Global to launch the Nokia 6 (2018), which was launched in China earlier this year.
