HCL, Toshiba Launch Eco-friendly Laptops

Toshiba along with HCL have launched three eco-efficient laptops that are RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) compliant. The laptops come across two categories—business and consumer.

For the business category they have the thin and light Portege M500 series that sports a 12.1- inch XGA screen with a swappable optical drive. The consumer segment will be adorned by the Qosmio, next-generation “four-in-one” audio-video notebook series with a HD-DVD ROM, developed by Toshiba themselves. Prices are not out as yet.
