Harman launches JBL Charge wireless portable speakers for Rs 9,990

Harman India has now added to its wireless speaker category with the announcement of JBL Charge, a new set of 10-watt portable stereo speaker which comes with high-capacity rechargeable battery, a built-in USB port as well as wireless Bluetooth connectivity. The speaker comes with a slim form factor, measuring just 74 x 175 mm.

The company has said that the new speakers can give over 12 hours of playback time from a single charge. The speaker requires 3.5 hours to achieve a full charge, though, which makes it advisable for users to plug the device in well before getting out of their houses. The speaker comes with a rechargeable 6,000 mAh battery.

The speaker comes with a built in USB port that can be used to charge mobile devices on-the-go. The new Bluetooth-powered portable speaker comes with two 1-5/8-inch (41mm) drivers, a built-in bass port, 2 x 5 watts of amplification as well as digital signal processing. The JBL Charge can wirelessly steam audio from any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet. The speaker comes with two 1-1/2-inch (38mm) transducers. The speaker also comes with a frequency response ranging from 150Hz to 20kHz.

Added to the package is a built-in LED indicator that shows the amount of power the portable speaker has left. In terms of accessories, the speaker will come with a neoprene carrying pouch. The JBL Charge will be priced at Rs 9990 and will be out in the Indian market from October this year. The speakers will be available to users in grey, blue and green avatars.
