What's in a name? Well.. a lot and a French rugby union team would vouch for that. In a quirky twist of fate, a hacker targeted the fan site of a second division Dax rugby team in south-west France, called allezdax.com, confusing it with the German stock exchange site, named similarly - German Dax. The unnamed attackers, tried to stage an Anti Wall Street-styled protest. The site was since, shut down, but is recovering now. The hack had a deep impact on the site. This can be explained in the sudden spurt that was seen in the number of page hits, which jumped to a whopping 80,000 from a 700, after which the site conked off for a good 2 weeks.

The allezdax.com site now bears a piece, titled, "Hacked but famous". The brief post beneath reads something like this - "After the rain, the step-time. Victim of German hackers in 15 days, we are in the spotlight in the press:", "if anti-virus software want to become our partners, we are takers! But the German teens stay home!" While the home page stated, "That's it, Allezdax.com is back. After undergoing an attack hit by a pimply young Teuton, the site is back with more security. Sorry that this lack had to create in you. Fortunately there was a weekend break:). Some things do not fully, but it will get better in the coming days (The prognostic return in one or two days). Thank you for your support and messages I received."
