As is usual for most games these days, developer Guerilla Games has announced that the upcoming next-gen title Killzone: Shadow Fall will be getting a Season Pass. It will be priced at $19.99 (Rs 1,255 approx) and will give players access to co-op expansion packs as well as multiplayer maps. For traditional multiplayer, there will be two expansions. These, however, haven’t been elaborated on.

In the co-op expansion pack, up to four players have to team up and fend off waves of enemies. Like any other Horde game mode, the enemies here will slowly escalate as they gain better equipment and grow smarter. Over time, there will be more expansions to the co-op game mode, each containing two maps.

As far as other goodies of the Season Pass are concerned, there’s an exclusive OWL combat drone skin and a unique multiplayer spotlight move.

Earlier, Guerilla showed off the progression system in Killzone: Shadow Fall’s multiplayer. According to Guerilla, instead of racking up XP by killing enemies, players will progress through the ranks by completing challenges. The game has more than 1,500 challenges for players to complete.

Back in July, the developers spoke about some of the new features of the game, such as a combo system for melee attacks and the OWL drone that will be at players’ disposal.

When asked about what the biggest change in the upcoming Killzone game will be when compared to the other ones, the company replied, “Obviously, we are keeping what is great about Killzone - we have a unique universe, iconic enemies and some great features like the hit-responses, first person cover and the melee system. But we’re also building on that, expanding and polishing those systems with things like drop-down melees and combo melee attacks."

Killzone: Shadow Fall is a PlayStation 4-exclusive and will be available on the console’s launch day.

Ever heard of one of those people who just never seem to shut up about something? Shunal is like the nerd equivalent of that guy. Believe us when we say that he can go on talking about games and smartphones for hours on end. We do manage to find some insight in his insane ramblings though, and through his moronic facade, he does seem to know more than he lets on. Sadly enough, it always ends up being about gaming with him. Or stupid, stupid puns. see more
