Love it or hate it, but you just can’t ignore the phenomenon that is Grand Theft Auto. Criticized by many, adored by even more (yours truly included), this franchise (especially GTA II onwards) redefined third person action games and gave a whole new meaning to the term “free-roaming”. In fact, this game is so popular, it’s become a benchmark of sorts for most reviewers when it comes to games of the same genre. Every one knew there would be GTA IV, but no such announcements were made at this year’s E3. Now, nearly a month later, a few (really stressing on the word few here) bits of information are available, thanks to

. The game’s script will supposedly be written by Rockstar main man Dan Houser along with James Worall (Manhunt) and Lazlow Jones (Liberty City Stories and San Andreas) and Navid Khonsari (Max Payne 2) have been listed as cast members. The last bit here (that’s to be taken with a pinch of salt) is that the game will be made using Rockstar’s Advanced Game Engine (RAGE), which can be seen in action in Rockstar’s first next-gen title Table-Tennis. The game is to be released on both the Xbox 360 and the PS3 on the 16th of October 2007. Stay tuned for more…

Nash, as he prefers being called, woke up to the wonders of gaming rather late but don't bring that up around him. It's a touchy subject. A self confessed Battlefield veteran, Nash spent a good part of 2010 on the Steam Battlefield - with Bad Company (see what we did there?). He has a zero tolerance policy towards RTS games but is currently showing an interest by picking up and moving people - who he refers to as units - in the office. Thank God he's not that enthusiastic about Angry Birds or we'd be seeing women flying all over the place. Bali... Bali, put the receptionist down now. see more
