Looks like Google is still hopeful about its Nexus tablet range as rumours of the 2016 model have started surfacing.
A new Weibo post points out that the nexus 6 2016 model is in the works. Firstly, news has it that the company has replaced Asus with Huawei as the company manufacturing the next tablet. Huawei has also built the Nexus 6P that has received rave reviews. The translated post reportedly reads, “2016 Google Nexus 7 project began, but did not determine to Huawei. Huawei still wants to continue as Google’s surgeon.”
There is no word on the specs of the device. However, rumours suggest the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The device is also expected to maintain the 7-inch display size. It should be noted that Google had earlier bet big on Nexus 9, sidelining Nexus 7 . Likewise, there are no details about the price or availability, but speculations are rife that Google will stay closer to the $229 price point for the 16GB variant and $269 for the 32GB model. Moreover, it is touted to be launched at the Google I/O next year.
