Google Voice Access beta now available, lets you control Android devices by speaking

Last year, we eagerly waited for Google to launch the Voice Access feature that lets you access Android device via voice at the I/O 2015 . Now, almost a year later, the company has launched Voice Access beta for users. Though the new speech recognition feature is for everyone, it has been built using a specific set of people in mind. For instance, someone who finds it difficult to use a touchscreen or  someone with paralysis or other problems that limit the use of touchscreens. ![google_voice_access](http://tech.firstpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/google_voice_access.jpg) “We recently launched Voice Access Beta, an app that allows people who have difficulty manipulating a touch screen due to paralysis, tremor, temporary injury or other reasons to control their Android devices by voice,” Eve Andersson, Manager, Accessibility Engineering writes in a blogpost. Google further explains that users give commands like “open Chrome” or “go home” to navigate around the phone or even interact with screen by saying “click next” or “scroll down”. You will find all the instructions to download the app here. However, the page currently says that the testing program has enough testers and isn’t accepting more users. The company has also announced Vision Settings for the visually impaired. It was just last month that Google added new feature that allowed users to edit and format text in Docs using voice.
