Google has introduced three new features into its IM Google Talk. The first feature is what everyone has been asking for a while now. File transfer. This, along with Google’s simple interface will go a long way in increasing the uptake of Google’s offering. The second new feature is a full blown voicemail feature much like what your cell company would offer. If you try and call a person from the Google client and are unable to reach them the voicemail kicks in much like an answering machine asking you to leave your message for the person. Currently this feature is a pre-defined voice and can not be customized with your own personal voice message. I am sure this is something that will be available as an upgrade in the future. The final feature is music status. This is something that has been present for a while on other messengers. This does nothing but reflects the music you are listening to in the status of the main Google window next to your contact.
