In addition to being available on Android, as well as via mobile site, Google+ is currently awaiting approval to be included in the iOS App Store, which will mean that iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users will have mobile access to the social network. Google engineer, Erica Joy, posted on her Google+ page, “For my iPhone using friends: the Google+ iPhone app has been submitted to the App store (no, not today, sometime prior to today) and is awaiting approval.”

May soon be available for iOS

Between Google’s other social networks that Google+ has (fairly or unfairly) been compared to, i.e. Buzz and Wave, this is the first effort that Google’s made for one of its social services being available in the iOS App Store. In some ways, it was already guess-able that they would do it, it was just a matter of when. The fact that it’s so soon after the web launch is a surprise. It is not know when Apple will approve (or disapprove) of the app and when it will hit the App Store. Are you on Google+ yet? Will you download an iOS app when it becomes available?

Paddy does not, we repeat, definitely does NOT belong in the category of Mac-head (yeh right!). She does get excited by her iPhone and her iMac and her iPod Nano and her Macbook and Bali's iPad and her future iHouse (patent pending). Ok, so maybe her head is a little bit forbidden fruit shaped. She likes shooting video (iPhone 4 camera zindabad!) and editing montages (Final Cut Pro zindabad!), whether the scene calls for it or no. In her spare time, she's either kicking it on stage with KB the keyboard or kicking butt at Taekwondo. see more
