Google Releases Updated Chrome 12

Google added a whole bunch of updates to their stable Google Chrome build, earlier today. The latest build, version 12.0.742.91 includes features that were part of the previous beta builds. Some of the interesting features include 3D CSS acceleration using hardware, a safe browsing feature that ensures that no malicious code enters your system and the ability to delete Flash cache from within the browser.

There’s also the ability to launch web apps using the omnibox on the browser. Google Gears that was a vital part of Google Chrome and was used to run web apps offline was removed in this build. There have been other smaller tweaks and fixes, as well. If you’re already using Google Chrome, the auto-updater should have updated your browser to the latest version. Google has been working on the Chrome 13 build, which is part of the development branch. That too, was updated recently with the most noticeable features being the ability to group tabs, improvements to instant search and some finer improvements to the print feature.
