Google has finally launched a native Calendar app for iOS. Until now, one could download it from Google Sync, but the app is now available for download directly from the Apple App store.

Last year, Google had revamped the Calendar app for Android and had promised to release an iOS version of the updated app. The new iPhone app gets all the updated features along with the new Material Design look for the iOS.

The list of features include Events from Gmail that turn emails into Calendar events automatically, Assists that makes suggestions which help save time when you're creating events and Schedule View that makes calendar easy to scan, states the official Gmail blog.

Apart from these features, the Google Calendar for iPhone works with all the calendars that users have already set up on their phone.

For Android users, Google recently added some more features to the Calendar app like a 7-day week view that makes it easy to glance through all the events for the week, control over Google+ contacts’ birthdays showing up in calendar and Google Drive integration, to name a few.
