Google puts up series of festive doodles for Christmas

Google is clearly in the holidays mood and has been doodling each day since Christmas eve on its home page. The doodle series has been following a theme like every year and is expected to go on for a few more days.

The Happy Holidays series has seen three doodles as yet by Google. The design elements have been kept constant so that users are able to recognise the theme running through the doodles this season.

The first doodle for Christmas was put up on the Google home page on Christmas Eve and showed a couple of kids riding a one-horse open sleigh over snowy hills. The white-themed doodle showed barren trees and snow all around to signify a white Christmas.

On Yuletide itself, Google put up a really cool doodle in the Happy Holidays series. From a country-side, the scene shifted to a bustling city where Christmas decorations adorned buildings and roads. There were cars that seemed to show people going on holidays or carrying trees home. There was a fully decorated tree, complete with ornaments, on the side of the road too.

The third day of Christmas has brought along a more subdued doodle that shows a house with the backdrop of a starry night, with the chimney on the roof having smoke coming out of it, signifying a hearty meal being cooked.

All the doodles in the Happy Holidays series wear a greeting card look and show these Christmas scenes as if through a small peephole of sorts. The word Google also looks to have gotten a festive touch, but not without too much ornamentation. We reckon Google will doodle every day for the 12 days of Christmas. So keep an eye out on more doodles that could be a part of the Happy Holidays series.
