Google’s all set to go multilingual with its social search service. In a bid to outdo the social networking giant, Facebook in its own space, Google plans to introduce its social search service in as much as 19 languages, globally.

The service that was launched in 2009 brings up personalized search results, each time the user punches in a query. By personalized, we imply that the results predominantly be answers that have been liked, recommended, or commented upon by the user’s friends aka social circle. Yet another major update to the social search service is the decision to integrate users and other information from Gmail, Twitter, Quora, Google Buzz, Facebook and Picasa.

The social search service will include blog posts, videos, as also photos that have been liked, commented, or recommended by the user’s friends. The social search service used to earlier place the recommendations of the user’s social circle onto the bottom of the page. Now, however, the search results will be made to blend with the regular results.
