Google Pixel is selling for Rs 34,999 on Flipkart ahead of the Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL launch in India

Google recently launched its latest flagships, the **Google Pixel 2** and the **Pixel 2 XL** in the US. The company is expected to launch both the devices in the Indian market on 1 November 2017. Considering the impending launch of the second generation Google Pixel devices, the first generation  **Google Pixel**  received a price cut, selling on e-commerce website Flipkart for a special price of Rs 34,999. The lineup is still among the few phones to have received the latest Android Oreo update. The Pixel’s larger sibling, the Pixel XL, on the other hand, is priced starting at Rs 39,999 for the 32 GB variant. Flipkart is also offering other deals while buying the phone including no-cost EMI and exchange offers. The Google Pixel having launched in October 2016, still competes reasonably well in terms of specifications against 2017 mid-range flagships. The Google Pixel and Pixel XL pack a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset which may be a year old now but should hold up alright in day to day tasks as well as CPU intensive tasks. Both smartphones come with 4 GB of RAM and a 12.3 MP primary camera which was ranked the highest among all 2016 flagships by camera benchmarking website DxOMark. Display specifications include a 5-inch full HD display on the Pixel and a 5.5-inch Quad HD display on the Pixel XL. The only thing that may put off buyers is the non-expandable 32 GB storage on the base variant of both phones. But the thing to note here is that not all users required a 64 GB or 128 GB variant considering that both the devices come with unlimiuted Google Photos storage to store the images and videos in full resolution that they took using the phone. The 128 GB variant of the Google Pixel and the Google Pixel XL are priced at Rs 42,490 and Rs 49,490 respectively on Flipkart.
